The Chamber of Small and Medium Sized Industries of Thessaloniki is a Legal Entity of Public Law. His history begins in 1925. The Chamber in its 100 years of uninterrupted operation contributes to the formation of conditions for the development and promotion of entrepreneurship and the economy in general.
The Chamber of Small & Medium Sized Industries of Thessaloniki is actively involved in the development of the region’s business community with a variety of actions in the framework of its mission, which is its effective operation as an institutionalized institution of the Greek State in matters of economy, development and promotion of business the service of member firms on the basis of a modern concept of providing horizontal and personalized support and guidance services. Today it is run by a seven-member committee and a board of 41 people, with financial and administrative autonomy.
Members of the chamber are all small and medium -sized processing and service companies that require special technical knowledge to operate and have their headquarters in the prefecture of Thessaloniki. The current number of members amounts to more than 30.000 businesses of the processing field and that of the rendering of services. The Chamber of Small & Medium Sized Industries is the first Chamber in Greece that has been certified with ISO 9001:2015 as well as with a management certificate for the 2007-2013 ESPA type B for the transition period.
The Chamber of Small & Medium Sized Industries, as an institutionalized institution of the state in matters of economy, development and promotion of business, actively participates in the development of the business community of its region. It presents documented proposals and opinions on issues such as financial and other problems faced by businesses, insurance , tax, industry, etc. Participates in business missions, organizes business meetings, conferences, meetings and events on topical issues, conduct surveys, informs its members on economic and business matters.
